Lacy Lee Ament

Lacy Lee Ament, age 40, resident of Moro, Oregon passed away July 23, 2021. A Memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday August 7th, 2021 at Wasco Depot Park, with Pastor Bob Stone officiating. Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

Lacy ‘Nala’ Ament was born in Lander, Wyoming on the 19th of November, 1980 and left this earth too soon at the home of her mother in Moro, Oregon on July 23rd, 2021. Lacy leaves behind a much loved daughter, Faith Ament, and son, Alpha Warren, as well as her mother Jerrilea Mayfield, father Wayne Ament, brother Tyler Ament, sister  Amber DeGrange (Mike), grandmother Patricia Gabriel, several special nieces and nephews (Tyann, Ryker, Savanna, Mya and Tyson) and one very spoiled and obese orange cat named Tank. Lacy grew up in Sherman County and spent her adult life in parts of California, Utah and Colorado. She enjoyed snowboarding, horseback riding, running, and studying nutrition. Physical fitness was a huge priority to Lacy and she was usually found in workout clothes ready to do something active. Upon coming home to Sherman County in 2019, Lacy returned to the career path of massage therapy and worked hard, even during a pandemic, to achieve her licensure and college certification in the field. She had a devoted following of massage clients and prided herself on her ability to help people better feel better. Keeping an optimistic attitude was always the top priority to Lacy, spreading positivity and promoting happiness despite troubling times (even to the chagrin of her crankier family members). She is remembered for her kindness and generosity and joyous spirit. She loved to be involved and was looking forward to volunteering in her community as a youth group fitness coach, as an emergency medical/fire responder, as a mentor for those active or in recovery from addiction, and so many more plans. Lacy had giant goals to make the world a better place and she pushed towards them with passion and commitment. Her bright, beautiful soul will be deeply missed.
