Jacqueline Sue Alsup (Malcolm)
Jacqueline Sue Alsup (Malcolm) was born on December 24th, 1950 in The Dalles, Oregon to Jack and Suzann Alsup. Jaci's early life was spent creating memories on the Ross family farm in Wamic. She attended Wamic Elementary School, Wasco County Union High School, and Eastern Oregon College. Throughout her life, Jaci held a variety of jobs including sorting cherries at the Cherry Growers and at Mid-Columbia Medical Center as a medical transcriptionist.
Jaci had a knack for recalling both family and community stories and loved to share them. This talent manifested itself in the community roles she filled as a 4-H Club Leader, and as a volunteer for the Wasco County Fair, Lone Pine Cemetery, Barlow Trail Rendezvous, and Wamic Historical Society. She loved rooting for the Wildcats, Redsides, Rangers, Eagles and Indians. But what she loved most was anything that her children and grandchildren were involved in and she enjoyed attending their events.
Jaci is survived by her loving siblings, Ross and Thelma Alsup, Mary and Bob Hill, and Melissa and Ed Ing; her cherished children, Jim and Regina Malcolm, and Molly and Nathan Goodrich; and her precious grandchildren, Madison, Ava, and Hazel Malcolm, Quenton Baker, Carson Stoneman, and Ian and Lucas Goodrich.
Jaci was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jack and Suzann, from whom she inherited her kindness, compassion, empathy, and love of Jesus Christ. Because of that inheritance, Jaci radiated the love of her Heavenly Father. That reflection of love is Jaci's legacy. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider doing an act of kindness to honor her memory. Give to someone in need, visit someone who is lonely, put a smile on someone's face, that would truly be honoring Jaci's legacy.
